Belden Brick Sculpture Named Local Treasure

September 23, 2015 In 2003, the Community Arts Council in Sugarcreek began crafting ideas and raising funds to make a series of panels that visually tell the history of the village of Sugarcreek, in addition to communities in the Garaway Local Schools District Baltic, Dundee and Ragersville. The result was the Sugarcreek Brick Wall Sculpture, which initially was installed by Belden Brick Co., Cherry Ridge Masons and Stutzman Lawn & Landscaping. Carving of the wall began Jan. 9, 2012, by sculptor Sherry Crilow. It took her about three weeks to create each of the 13 panels. Read more here.
